Green chemistry: Cherry kernel oil is emollient oil that has high content of Vitamin A, moisturising oleic acid as well as tocopherols, a natural antioxidant that will help protect the skin.
Why we love it: Contains 10% eleostearic acid which has some UV protective qualities. Amounts present in the oil will vary from batch to batch and based on extraction process. This oil forms a barrier on the skin which can help protect boost the skins natural SPF but isn't suitable as a sole sunscreen agent.

Citric acid
Targets: Maintains a healthy pH
Green chemistry: Citric Acid is found in a variety of fruits and vegetables, but it is most concentrated in lemons and limes, where it can comprise as much as 8% of the dry weight of the fruit. Citric acid is also the most widely used organic acidulate. Citric Acid is an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid and hence will have some exfoliant properties, although these are much less than Glycolic, Lactic and Malic Acids.

L-asorbic acid

Green chemistry: L-Asorbic acid is the purest and most stable form of Vitamin C. This potent water soluble vitamin is a naturally occurring antioxidant that is essential for the formation of the amino acids that make collagen within the skin, helping to prevent wrinkles, dryness and collagen degradation.
